ICODA European Affairs and PwC jointly announce new Solvency II law book
7 July 2014 – Press release – ICODA European Affairs and PwC jointly announce new Solvency II law book
EU insurance and reinsurance undertakings will be on 1/1/2016 subject to the new Solvency II framework, by far the most important and most innovative revision and renewal of the European insurance legislation. Lieve Lowet, partner of ICODA European Affairs and Solvency II expert, has just finished a new coordination of the 2009 directive with the latest changes introduced via the Omnibus II directive, approved on 16 April 2014.
The Solvency II legislation is composed of several layers: a framework directive, implementing legislation and guidelines and recommendations.
This 2014 compilation, of which the English version is kindly sponsored by PwC, is available in a light weight, handbag-size paper version and soon also in an easy to use and easy to research and annotate e-book version (iPad, iPhone…).
The editing house is Knopspublishing, which has a broad track record of successful tailor-made law (e-)books.
This May 2014 edition updates the January 2012 editions and contains the coordinated Solvency II directive (and its annexes), with the EIOPA regulation (also coordinated) as bonus material. The European Solvency II law book will be available in English and also in French (Droit européen: solvabilité II).
