Our senior partner, Lieve Lowet, has been active in lobbying and consulting for more than 20 years. During her nearly 15 years with McKinsey & Co, as expert in European banking and insurance she helped formulate strategic, operational and organizational advice for numerous EU and non-EU financial institutions, with additional leading responsibilities for financial institutions research and analysis. Thereafter, as secretary-general of an international insurance association representing around 15% of the European market and 6% worldwide, she was instrumental in putting that sector on the map in Brussels and beyond. She began her career in the international department of BBL, now ING Bank.

Lieve has excellent knowledge of the European insurance industry and has for example built up solid credibility in the Solvency II dossier. Managerial and working styles include drive and passion, as well as didactic clarity.

Lieve has a Master’s degree in international studies from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, Bologna, where she was awarded the Groove Haines price; a B.A. (cum laude) in Philosophy, and a Law degree (Licentiaat) (cum laude) from KUL, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. She is also a member of Commissie voor Verzekeringen/Commission des Assurances, Belgium.
